On January 12–14, 2026, Simple Cycle hosted a study excursion from SMA Kolese De Britto Yogyakarta. This program was designed to educate students about plastic waste management and the application of a circular economy in the creative industry.
The activity began with a presentation on the company profile, environmental vision, and Simple Cycle's innovation in processing HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) plastic into high-value products. Students were introduced to various examples of successful recycling applications, ranging from modern furniture to creative merchandise.
After gaining an overview, students received technical training on standard operating procedures for plastic waste processing. The material covered work safety procedures, production flow, sorting, and plastic grinding. Next, students went directly to the workshop to observe and practice these stages professionally.
In the manufacturing session, Study Excursion participants were guided to try and be directly involved in the process of making beaded bracelets, adhering to Simple Cycle's standard operating procedures. Students' creativity was also explored by making bag charms using a variety of materials and patterns. Furthermore, participants were given the opportunity to produce additional pieces from the finest available plastic materials and bring their results to document their learning process.
Through this series of excursion studies, Simple Cycle hopes to raise awareness among the younger generation about the importance of collaboration between creativity, technology, and sustainability in addressing the real challenges of plastic waste.
