Inaguration of Smartagri Plant Factory: Collaboration between the Faculty of Agricultural Technology UGM and INASTEK

Friday (23/2/2024), PT Inamas Sintesis Teknologi attended the inauguration event as a trusted partner in the development of the Smartagri Plant Factory through the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (DTPB), Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Gadjah Mada University

Smartagri Plant Factory is designed as an alternative to improve food security by applying modern and sustainable agricultural technology. This indoor farming system was developed by utilizing soilless technology, nutrient injection automation, monitored water and air quality, and monitored lighting.

The inauguration of the Smartagri Plant Factory aims to answer the need for innovative and adaptive agricultural solutions. Head of the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (DTPB), Prof. Dr. Lilik Sutiarso, emphasized that "Smartagri Plant Factory is not just an innovation, but is a revolution in seeing and managing food production in the future". So, through the Smartagri Plant Factory, it is possible to completely control plant growth through a system which can certainly change the paradigm of food production to be more efficient, environmentally friendly, modern and sustainable.
