Startup for Industry Indonesia (STARFINDO) has entered a new leadership period with a renewed commitment to strengthening the role of startups in supporting the advancement of Indonesia’s national industry. During the inauguration held on Thursday, August 6, Maulana Wiga was officially appointed as Chairman of STARFINDO following an internal organizational election and was subsequently inaugurated by the Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita.
In the new leadership structure, Mr. Yosef Aditya Duta Dewangga, CEO of PT INAMAS SINTESIS TEKNOLOGI, has also been entrusted with the role of Vice Chairman of STARFINDO for the 2026–2029 term. This appointment represents an important step toward establishing leadership that can bridge technological innovation with the real and evolving needs of the industrial sector.
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita emphasized that organizations capable of supporting and strengthening the startup ecosystem play a strategic role in Indonesia’s industrial transformation. According to him, the success of startups should not be measured solely by the number of new companies established, but also by their ability to create sustainable innovation, grow consistently, and deliver added value to the industrial sector.
In this context, STARFINDO is expected to serve as both a bridge and a strategic partner for the government in expanding technology adoption, promoting industrial digitalization, and developing human resources that are aligned with the evolving needs of the industry.
The transition to the new STARFINDO leadership for the 2026–2029 period also marks an important step toward strengthening cross-sector collaboration. Synergy among the government, industry, startups, investors, and educational institutions is expected to create greater opportunities for innovation and accelerate technology adoption, particularly in the manufacturing sector.
As an organization representing alumni of the Ministry of Industry’s Startup4Industry program, STARFINDO will continue to foster a stronger, more adaptive, and competitive startup ecosystem. Through its new leadership, startup development is expected to go beyond the creation of new products and services and become a driving force for improving productivity, efficiency, and the competitiveness of Indonesia’s industries amid the rapid pace of technological advancement.
