On July 31, 2024, Pionir Organik of Gadjah Mada University held an Agriculture and Fisheries Seminar themed “Gen Z Initiatives in Using Internet of Things (IoT) for Sustainable Agriculture and Fisheries in Indonesia.” In this occasion, Yosef Adhitya Duta Dewangga, S.T., M.Eng, the CEO of PT Inamas Sintesis Teknologi, was invited as a speaker to discuss technological transformation in the field of agriculture. The event aimed to provide new insights to the Amarta Muda (new students of the Faculty of Agriculture) about the advanced technologies implemented by PT Inamas Sintesis Teknologi for agricultural development in Indonesia.

The seminar took place at the Harjono Danoesastro Auditorium, Faculty of Agriculture, Gadjah Mada University. During the event, the seminar was moderated by Mesalia Kriska, S.P., M.Sc, a lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture. The purpose of inviting the CEO of PT Inamas Sintesis Teknologi as a speaker was due to his role as an inspirational young figure contributing to agricultural and fisheries technology innovation through IoT. IoT was defined as the integration of machines and humans through the internet to facilitate information exchange. “We applied indoor vertical farming, which is more efficient than traditional farming or greenhouses. Additionally, we developed MyLestari automatic monitoring system to assist in cultivation, standardization, and traceability using IoT,” said Yosef Adhitya Duta Dewangga S.T., M.Eng, CEO of PT Inamas Sintesis Teknologi.

According to Yosef Adhitya Duta Dewangga S.T., M.Eng, technological transformation through the Internet of Things (IoT) needs to be carried out to maximize production potential amid environmental and human resource crises. This transformation aimed to facilitate agricultural activities using technology. Through this seminar, Amarta Muda gained perspectives on advanced technology to address various crises in Indonesia. Therefore, Amarta Muda should continue to innovate to become pioneers in technology, nature, and food security in the era of digital farming.
