From April 27 to May 3, 2024, SMK Negeri 2 Depok once again collaborated with INASTEK on the Teaching Factory (TEFA) program. The learning model in this teaching factory is based on production that refers to industry standards and procedures. Thus, students are invited to participate in the production of vocational teaching aids.

Teaching Factory is carried out with the aim of providing opportunities for students to practice their skills and help prepare themselves to enter the workforce. Therefore, during the activities, the classroom condition is made to depict that of industry condition.

This teaching factory include four sessions, namely providing material briefings that facilitate understanding of the concepts given according to industry needs. In addition, students also practiced assembling and wiring activity according to industry standards. The final activity is Quality Control activities accompanied by the INASTEK production team. This activity is carried out to inspect damage that occurs to the installed components.

With the teaching factory in place, students are very enthusiastic about learning new things in each activity. Thus, with TEFA, students can master skills according to industry standards and foster creativity through learning by doing. "I am very happy to participate in the teaching factory from INASTEK. It turns out that the knowledge from school is not enough to enter the workforce, but with TEFA, I can understand industry standards better," said Fathur, student of TITL SMKN 2 Depok.
